What is required to take this course?
In order to follow this course, you will need a computer and a copy of Autodesk Maya.

Do I need to buy a new computer to run Autodesk Maya on?
Probably not.
Most computers these days will be capable of running Maya and handling what you'll be doing inside of the course.
Once you finish Maya For Beginning Animators and commit to becoming a professional animator, we do recommend ensuring you invest in a system that meets the system requirements on Autodesk's website.

Maya is expensive! I can't afford to buy Maya to follow this program, what should I do?

Is 30 days enough time to complete the course?
Absolutely!
We recommend giving yourself at the very most 30 days to learn and practice the material.

What do I do if I get stuck?
Each lesson has a comment section where you can post to.
Should you need to show your screen to a professional animator, we recommend signing up for 1-on-1 coaching as well.

What do I do once I finish with the course?
Great question!
Once you've proven to yourself that you can recreate the animation exercise, try coming up with your own unique animation.
Use the knowledge you gain from the course to come up with a primitive character of your own. Use different props. Tell a different story.
Once you've been able to recreate what you're shown and also come up with your own animation, our recommendation is to move onto step 2 which is coaching.
Sign up for 1-on-1 coaching with a professional animator.
During your first coaching session, a professional animator will look at your work, provide you with live feedback on it, and map out a step-by-step path for you to take next.
